It's been such a long time since I've worked on the fuselage portion of this project that I had forgotten what and how I was planning on for the steerable nose wheel and throttle! The forward and aft servo rails are where these servos will be placed.

The nose steering pull-pull servo tray was fabricated. Like all of my other servos, my preferred method to hold the servo in place is with four 2-56 x 1/2" cap head bolts.

Next was to figure out how to link the pull-pull cables to the servo arm. Again, I dipped into my stock and got a little resourceful. I decided on using two of these pushrod connectors. The hole in the connector isn't threaded so I tapped the hole using a 4-40 tap.

I installed the plastic guide tubes that each steel cable will run though and epoxied them into position. Once dry, I'll be able to make up the cables and see if this works!!!

I mounted the throttle arm on and installed a 2-56 ball link that will take a 4-40 rod. The reason I didn't use a 4-40 ball link is because of its larger size and as you will see space is tight...

This is one of four rubber grommets that were supplied with this servo. At first glace they may all appear identical (which they are) but the can be installed in the wrong orientation. If you look carefully you will notice that the top and bottom widths of the grommet are not the same. Remember that divider that I spoke of? The smaller width should go on top. If you put it in upside down the grommet will not sit correctly. It's easy to miss. I've seen many servos with the grommets install

I thought I would say a few words about getting the servo prepped. Note the divider between the two mounting holes. If your servo has this divider then it may come into play when you are to install the rubber grommets...

These are the metal eyelets that also come with your servos. They can be a bugger to install, let me show you a very easy way to slip them in the grommet.
