I thought I would get organized. Nothing worse than getting to the flying field and finding that you left something important home preventing you from flying.

The tray is removable, I keep the nuts and an allen key needed.

So I kept it simple by using a plastic servo box to hold all the hardware that I need (as well as spares) to assemble the plane.

Plane is disassembled. It will get its final sanding/shaping before I start fiberglassing the front of the fuselage.

I bagged and tagged all the components/fasteners. It was additional work to do this, but it will pay off later during reassembly.

The second addition is a platform mounted further down the side of the fuse for the secondary receiver, again plastic tubing was added for the antennas.

A couple of last minute additions were made to the fuselage before I released my minions to disassemble the plane. I added a 3/32" balsa floor for the main receiver to rest, as well as two plastic tubes used to ensure the antennas remain in their proper orientation.

Everything was neatly organized on my worktable. Some items, such as the door and window will also get fiberlassed. Missing from the picture are the wing halves, which are ready for primer.

Of the 60cc's that I mixed, I had roughly 15cc's left over.

Note that there is NO excess Resin on top of the cloth.

You will find that the cloth will easily conform to the shape of the surface very easily.

The viscosity of your mixture will be very thin, like water. Use your chip brush and apply your thinned Finishing Resin on liberally. Don't worry it wont puddle on you, it will be absorbed into the balsa.

After a few seconds of mixing the mixture will become clear once again. (it was cloudy due to the moisture in your Finishing Resin.)

Step 5- Add the 30cc's of Denatured Alcohol to your larger cup with the 30'cc's of Resin and Hardener mix. At this point you should have a total of 60cc's in the cup. Take your mixing stick and stir well. You will notice that the mixture will become very cloudy. ( This is normal)

Step 4- With your small mixing cup now empty, pour 30cc's of Denatured Alcohol in the cup.

Step 3- Mix the 30cc's together with your mixing stick. Pour your mix into a larger cup, you will see why...

The cloth is dry brushed, I find that this settles the cloth and allows it to hangs well.

This is what your going to need. I'm using Zap Finishing Resin, but you can you whatever brand that you like or what's available to you. I have Denatured Alcohol, Hardener, Resin a chip brush, mixing cups and a mixing stick.

I'm using 1/2 ounce cloth to cover the sheeted areas of this plane. 1/2 ounce cloth is very light and has to be handled delicately. It will conform incredibly well around curves.

Step 1- Pour 15cc's of Hardener in a mixing cup. (You can start with either the Resin or Hardener)

Step 2- To the mixing cup pour another 15cc's of Resin in the cup. You should have a total of 30cc's in the cup at this point.
